What's causing Your Mental Block
Deep down inside you feel anxiety. You are feeling pressurized and you are worried that the desire you have to lose weight is triggered by other people's expectations, and not by your own inner motivation.
You are afraid of change. You fear becoming less of yourself! You feel people are judging you. Secretly you yearn for people to love you for who you actually are.
But just right now, you are not entirely sure exactly who you are yourself!

Your second key step, on accepting the first, is to decide you are going lose weight healthily by keeping to your own timetable. Keep believing in yourself!

Accept that you seriously do want to lose weight but that it may take you time to really shed the pounds and succeed in keeping the weight off. You want to be healthy and keep fit for life. You want to look good and tone up!
Know that this goal is excellent. Choose your final target weight. Decide on a step by step approach that you honestly feel will work well for you. Be very realistic and allow yourself plenty of leeway to go forward two steps and back one.
It is human nature that as soon as we choose a difficult goal and impose restrictions on ourselves that we will rebel! So allow for that. Plan ahead what you will use to substitute a craved item and plan a reward for yourself when you achieve your substitution.
Just accept ahead of time that you will have difficult days and moments where falling to temptation seems inevitable. You will go forward two steps and back one. It's going to be a long journey.
This year I have decided to encourage myself to lose 56lbs in 222 days. That works out at 1lb weight loss every 4 days. Quite a challenge! I realize I will sometimes lose the weight I want, and sometimes I will put some back on! I don't expect to actually regularly as clockwork lose exactly 1lb every 4 days but I do intend to achieve a real loss of 7lb every 28 days.
I am taking human nature into account, doing this because I seriously want long term health for life, and simply because I want to live longer! That's a great goal! I want to enjoy feeling proud of my achievement!
I already know how incredible I will feel when I achieve my target on 12th December!
I am not entirely sure I really can achieve this huge loss, but I am determined to give it my best shot. It's quite hard to be dishonest with yourself for long! I know I want this really bad now! So bad, I'm willing to stand up in front of the whole world and tell my story in my diary blog day by day for 222 days!
